I just got the saddest mental image. Regene has killed Ribbons and is sitting on the couch in victory. A short period of time passes and we see Regene on the couch again and then the camera pans to a window where we see that it’s raining heavily. Outside is Hilling Care, still waiting.

Hilling Care finally collapsed to the ground, a small smile on his face as his eyes slowly started to close. It had been a very long time since he last saw his brother but he made a promise to wait. He couldn’t give up now.

It was still raining, it had been raining for days now, but over the sound of the rain there were footsteps. They were loud enough for his eyes to flutter back open, for him to turn his head and look for the source. First came the white shoes, then the light gray pants, the tunic with the sleeves and the collar the same color as his own. He didn’t need to see the rest to know who it was.

“Ribbons!” His voice was nothing but a rough whisper, smiling widely with tears brimming up in his eyes. “Ribbons, I waited for you…”

“I know.” Ribbons extended his arm and Hilling reached out for him, his thin arms shaking with the effort to push himself up and hold the one arm out. 

“Thank you.”

The moment their fingertips touched, Hilling’s eyes slid shut for the final time and his arm gave out. The other arm remained extended, the faint warmth fleeing his fingertips and the rest of his body as the rain continued to fall.

He was still smiling.

 

I just have to add that I think “Be Human” is the only song that always makes me wanna BAWWW. Its just so… sad and sweet and… ;_;
