New OP’s Innovator Lineup Comparison

So I was looking at the lineup shot in the OP again and started doodling on it in Photoshop to make some comparisons and here’s what I found:

innovatorscompare1

So, although not immediately apparent in this version, Hilling’s only a little shorter than Revive and Anew, who are precisely the same height here (I left off the height comparison lines because they just cluttered things up) and Divine is actually a bit taller than Bring (of course the height stuff here assumes that there’s no perspective wonkiness going on–Regene and Revive’s heights are correct relative to each other for what that’s worth).

But the more interesting point I think is that Anew’s build is actually closer to Hilling’s than Revive’s. Sooo…. Yeah.

Also, I thought  I might as well look at the sheets scene again now that we’ve got some more information:

Also, kind of old news, but the new ED has been confirmed as “trust you” by Yuna Itou. No idea when it’s going to debut, I would guess next week. Single’s due out on March 4th.

  1. In your second doodle, I find the pose awkward since the shoulder is strained. When I reach up to touch someone’s face with the upper arm straight, I don’t feel the need to scrunch up my shoulders.

I’m settling for “it’s Anew, only with wrong proportions”. I mean it can’t be Ribbons!!! Regene perhaps, but Ribbons… XD

  2. Yeah, I agree on the shoulder thing. I forced the proportions a bit in that sketch to make it fit. It is a viable pose, but I the more natural pose would involve a different arm-angle as opposed to raising the shoulder. The arms are really long in the sheets scene anyhow, so the proportions are probably wonky to begin with.

My edit on your edit XD

I first enlarged Lyle in the sheets image to match the head, shoulder, and pants of the other image. Note that the arms on the sheets person are now disproportionate to Anew’s arms, but if you shrink the image further for the arms to look skinny enough, you’ll just end up with Lyle even shorter than that.

If you strain the shoulder of Anew high enough, you’ll get the right height for Lyle. Though I find that odd since if I try to touch someone taller’s face, I really don’t raise my shoulder :P

If it’s Regene, his hair will show above the sheets. So it’s… Ribbons… proportion-wise it really seems like so XD

    /analysis on probably wonky proportions

  5. Well…I was right about it being an Innovator for sure, at least, even if I didn’t get the RIGHT Innovator.

But that’s only because Mizushima was being coy about Anew, dammit!

  6. Nice doodles XD

For sheets vs mountain rendezvous, as a budding shipper I straightly did a visual comparison after watching the subs, but the thing I most focused on is just where the top of Anew’s shoulder falls on Lyle. Which is the middle of his chest, near the meeting of two shades on his jacket. In anime, wonky perspective is a given, so I take it as confirmation of sheetperson’s identity.

Considering Stereopony’s song hit the net a few weeks before its debut, I’m quite disappointed I couldn’t find anything on Yuna’s single. Her official site is even dead. :( I like Yuna Ito since first hearing her in NANA movie OST, so I have confidence in a nice ED. She sounds like Stephanie of S1’s ED2.
