Oh god the argument about the Innovators’ naughty bits is gonna get heated again D:
[EDIT] Animage added because the non-VA interview bit was short.
Animedia – [Source]
Kati and Patrick have gone missing together.
What will Kati do now that she’s left A-LAWS?
As usual, there are a lot of spoilers in Animedia.
The medicine Louise takes appears to [contain] nanomachines.
Just the things that caught my attention: {<– direct translation from the original, I’m not leaving anything out except illustration descriptions and things I explicitly note in brackets like this}
The first title is “Lyle’s passionate love comes to light?”
About Lyle and Anew from Sunrise:
• Just how much Lyle knows about Anew is [a] delicate [matter].
They think it’s similar to the feelings Neil harbored for Feldt. {WHAT?}
Lyle also has the Neil-like characteristic where he watches over people when he feels that they’re burdened with something.” {there’s a dangling quote at the end of this, not sure what line it’s supposed to start on}
They also comment, where will his having the same kindness as Neil lead their {Lyle and Anew’s} fate?
The second title is
“Allelujah’s victory was brief!? Marie returns to being Souma…!?”
About Lyle and Anew from Sunrise:
“We [didn't] think their love-love attitude would last long on the battlefield. But, for Allelujah it’s not just Marie. It has a variety of implications. If you don’t use your shining trump card, it is just something pretty to look at.” {not 100% on that last sentence}
They also note that they’d like to see Hallelujah come back again.
In Tieria’s article they hint about Veda’s recapture.
• Does the fact that (Tieria) doesn’t use his Innovator intellect and capabilities––like his Veda link and telepathy––thinking “it’s because I’m human,” not put CB at a disadvantage?
• It is very likely that Tieria’s change* and Veda’s recapture will be a breakthrough for CB.
{*again, I don’t know what they mean by that exactly}
Analysis of three of Tieria’s past missions.
“{I have no idea what this says} tactic” Episode 8–>Failure
“Arms from the tactic plan” Episode 9–>Failure
“Diet Seraphim tactic” Episode 14–>Success
{I dunno what’s up with those names, this would probably make more sense in the context of the layout but it’s still weird–from the episode #s I’m sure you can figure out what they’re talking about though}
“Counter-plan for mission bias from now on” is, can (Tieria) face Lockon’s ghost without clouding his judgment?
P20 is Sunrise commentary on the new OP and ED.
• The new OP is a symbol of the end of the story, and it’s a device to imply things.
• They go into more depth about the new ED.
There’s another article on how Andrei got a promotion for killing Sergei, contrasted with Louise who lost both her parents.
P21 is related to the Innovators
“Super-longevity” “Sexless*” “Super-human power” and “QBW Communication” are special characteristics of the Innovators. Further more, what is the intention behind the Innovators having two person look-alike “sets.”
{*I asked the guys in gg about this since I knew it was a sensitive topic. The phrase is commonly used on job applications to mean “no gender requirement.” Everyone pretty much agreed that in this context it implies that the Innovators are not built with specific sexes–don’t ask me why they list Hilling and Bring as “female type” and “male type” Innovators elsewhere, perhaps they are sexless but can chose a gender, or maybe they can get genitalia expansion packs, I don’t know.}
Does Louise’s medicine (nanomachines) give her those gold eyes, MS synchronization and so on?
Finally, after the coup, both the military and the government have fallen under A-LAWS control.
Kati and Patrick are missing together.
In Episode 18, 4 months after the coup, CB goes on a mission to destroy the Memento Mori [again].
P38-9
“Hello from the Sky” Episode 19
Andrei feature. Personal data:
Age: 24
DOB: 5/5
Height and Weight: 184cm 64kg
His hobbies are Jenga and jigsaw puzzles.
His favorite food is borsch.
His favorite type of woman “a maiden.”
As far as Andrei is concerned, Saji is an “eyesore.”
But Saji [just says] “I don’t know him.”
Andrei says about Louise “I want to protect her.”
But Louise just thinks of him as “Just a comrade.”
• He became embittered toward Sergei when his mother died when he was in junior school.
• But Sergei still continued to send him casual mail routinely. He was a good father.
• When he killed Sergei he decided “to continue fighting to protect an ideal society”
Ayaka’s comments:
• [Regarding] a one-sided mail from Sergei about adopting Souma, [Andrei] knew about it but [said] “It doesn’t concern me.”
• Saji is a key person in the love triangle in Louise’s heart. If Saji met Andrei, perhaps they would clash.
“Tell us, staff!” Just the parts that interested me.
Q: Why does Bushido hide his true identity?
A: Because that’s something everyone wants to know, we can’t say anything.
Q: Was Tieria’s crossdressing outfit Sumeragi’s preference?
A: It’s half Sumeragi’s preference. But it seems like Tieria decided on the general direction.
{I’ve left off the summary of the interview with Andrei’s VA because I’m sick of Andrei and VA interviews are low priority for me}
Animage
{again, left out the opening part which is a VA roundtable discussion mourning Sergei’s death}
About the new OP and ED:
About Tieria’s gold eyes, they say “[it's his] awakening transformation”
Whether he regains the ability to connect to Veda, whether he falls to the Innovators’ side, they note their thoughts about this very mysterious scene.
Allelujah is “Walking along a high wall, alone.”
About the fighting scene “I wonder why Lockon is [fighting] with Revive?”
They think it’s similar to the feelings Neil harbored for Feldt. {WHAT}
I wholeheartedly agree. Wtf. And way to go about being different from brother Neil, Lyle.
They’d like = gunna happen. They’d like Anew and Lyle to get together, and what happened?!
THANKS GOODHARO!!

@cheesecake: Yeah, I really don’t know what’s up with that. Honestly it’s less that they were implying NeilxFeldt there and more that they were implying that Lyle’s thing for Anew is derived from that same sort of protective thing that Neil had for Feldt (and the rest of the crew really). I dunno, I’m pretty sure I didn’t flamigo up {it’s like a cock up, only worse /ohgodivebeenwatchingwaytoomuchreddwarf} the translation of that part either.

Well, perhaps if Neil had lived, he might have eventually developed a relationship with Feldt when she reaches maturity.
Interesting that they referred to Lyle x Anew as similar to the feelings Neil harbored for Feldt, and not Tieria.
So, does this mean that the feelings Tieria felt towards Neil were not mutually reciprocated?

Possibly they meant the “female type” and “male type” as … how to phrase … more overtly exaggerated gender behavioural stereotypes? (Or what the writers saw as stereotypical?)
Hilling with the flirting and coyness, Bring being the old chestnut of the silent stoic type.
Or maybe I’m completely off-base ~

at 08:52
@taichara: Yeah, could be. It’s hard to say at this point really. The “sexless” item could also be read more like “sex optional” (so, they have a default state and can differentiate from there, but there’s no requirement for a sex). I dunno, perhaps in some supplementary thing we’ll get a whole long HOW INNOVATOR JUNK WORKS. :\

“Hello from the Sky” Episode 19
What?
By: lialialia on 2009/02/09
at 10:16
@lialialia: It’s a regular feature they do in Animedia. They have their original character Ayaka interview the cast. This month’s was about Andrei.

His favorite type of woman “a maiden.”
So Andrei likes his virgins huh? >> And why do I feel like I just got trolled by the magazines?

They think it’s similar to the feelings Neil harbored for Feldt. {WHAT?}
I think its more of a “He wants to protect (or be with her) since there is no one to look for (or love) her”
Its just, with the case of Lyle and Anew, they developed into lovers, while Neil and Feldt didn’t, maybe because Neil is conscious of the fact that Feldt is underage.
By: SansNom01 on 2009/02/09
at 11:46
@SansNom01: Looking at it again, I’m pretty sure the like-how-Neil-felt-about-Feldt is talking about specifically how Lyle’s handling the knowing about Anew thing rather than their relationship, if that makes any sense (er, like, the reason Lyle is not telling everyone is because he feels protective over her, etc) Or something I dunno.
