[EDIT] Kouryakukan updated, but I’m supposed to be writing a paper right now (I really really don’t want to though, Japanese Film is such a shitty class…..) so just a brief rundown of some things:
- The 00P chapter had to do with Hixar and co. testing Seifer Rasiel and it has problems. Then it switches to Tieria coming in to test Nadaleeh. There really isn’t much of interest (I mean there was like a whole paragraph in the summary about how Nadaleeh seems underpowered because it’s really supposed to be equipped with the Virtue armor/etc, mostly stuff we know). Though there was one line about Tieria staring up at his new machine in awe that caught 874’s eye (a lot about her in this chapter, I only half understood some parts because I haven’t really been following the story). Oh there were also some implications about Tieria’s status as a Meister, his presence was hidden from Grave and 874 has no idea why he was selected as a Meister (sounds like Ribbons tampering again to me).
- The Blue Memories chapter is about Sumeragi, the summary’s pretty sparse and I already hit most of it in the 2ch snippets.
- Haven’t read the 00F summary yet, I’ll get to it in a bit while continuing to procrastinate on my stupid paper (I just had to take a film class, I knew it would be pretentious and awful but this is even worse because my teacher’s an idiot and is hideously misinformed about Japan yet she continues to talk about it with authority… ugh…. the film majors eat this shit up but the Japanese majors are just facepalming all through class)
[EDIT] ooF summary this month:
00F–F17: Project Start
The pilot of Black Plutone is Bring Stabity. Black Plutone is not intended for stirring up trouble, it’s a prototype machine (for Gadessa). Bring, who explains how to regain access to data in Veda, offers to collaborate with Fon. And in that instant Fon realizes that he isn’t human. It would be impossible to determine that an Innovator, which is based on human DNA, [isn't human] from their outward appearance, but Fon came to the conclusion anyway.
Seeing that aspect, 874 believes that she can’t hide anything from Fon [now]. Bring introduces himself as an “Innovator,” he tries to give his name, but he’s prevented with a “I have no interest in attaching sentimental value to names, they’re only tools.”
Fon announces a plan to attach an engine to an asteroid to drop it on Earth.
Astrea F and Black Plutone are sortied as guards for the asteroid. There, Hixar’s Sadalsuud appears. Fon intentionally shows Bring his back to agitate him, but Bring doesn’t bite and goes after Hixar. Seeing this state of affairs, Fon scoffs at him “Are your orders from above that absolute? Crying the name innovator*”
The rest of Bring and Hixar’s confrontation is in the next issue.
*Doesn’t carry in English well since “Innovator” is English. He uses 革新者 (glossed as イノベイター I think) which means “innovator”
- Summaries:
Episode 21: Door to Reform
A transmission from Wang Liu Ming containing only a point near Lagrange 5 [is received]. Everyone on Ptolemy is suspicious, but Setsuna proposes that they change course [anyway]. They approve it because Ian and Linda are developing new equipment.
Episode 22: For the Future’s Sake
The A-LAWS big fleet is finally completed. Goodman rejoices. Setsuna and the others speak to each other about their decision. In the time before the final battle begins, Feldt gives Setsuna a flower grown in the lab. It was something he had seen when he was a child soldier, a flower which is local to the Middle East.
And then the titles for 23-24 were the same as the ones from 2ch.
[EDIT]
According to 2ch:
[Gundam Ace] didn’t have summaries, just titles:
Episode 23: “Flower of Life”
Episode 24: “BEYOND”タイトルだけで粗筋載ってねぇー
23話「命の華」
24話「BEYOND」
[EDIT] New summary for 22. This one looks really wonky compared to the other stuff even though it’s from the person with the trip who’s been providing all the info and photos so far:
Episode 22: “For the Future’s Sake”
In the time before the final battle begins, Feldt gives Setsuna a flower grown in the lab. It was something he had seen when he was a child soldier, a flower which is local to the Middle East.22話「未来のために」
最後の決戦まで間もない中、フェルトは刹那にラボで生成されたという一輪の花を渡す
それはかつて、ゲリラ兵だった少年時代にも見たことのある、中東地方に咲く花だった
Other stuff:
The supplement’s black Plutone was piloted by Bring.
If he’d introduced himself, surely Fon would have stopped him.He was ordered to cooperate with Fon by Ribbons.
He used the first person pronoun “watashi,” and had gold eyes. There’s feature on Sumeragi’s tactical forcasting, a report on Tieria’s inner Innovator, and a spread with Archer and Arios and 0-Raiser and Saji.
More Chara-Kuro comics.
Something about the Meisters in school-cosplay for a test. And something about Lyle being sad even during the event.
I think there’s a manga with Sumeragi reminiscing about the people on Ptolemy.
Something about Lyle and Anew in the manga too.
The manga (or one of the mangas?) concerns the Sumeragi’s involvement in the crossdressing mission. And something about Feldt and Millena.
There were some other things, but I’m just gonna wait for Kouryakukan to update for more details.
[EDIT] Okay, I lied, this was too cute not to post, NEED MANGA NOW:
Sumeragi said that because Tieria’s skin was already nice, he only needed light makeup. After that Sumeragi started getting his dress ready, and it seems that she left the selection of cosmetics to Feldt. “I wanted a young person’s sense” and so on. And Tieria thanked Feldt for her help. And then he honestly thanked Millena for praising him and giving him confidence. {D’AWWWW}
Tieria made a nice expression and Sumeragi is overcome with emotion…
Yoinked from 2ch:

Wow. I really like the 00’s new GN Sword III. Wonder if they’ll even use it in the show? Probably not, but I’d like to see that in action since I’ve always loved Exia’s GN Blade.

Regnant is such a horrible name.
Oh, more swords. I’m a sucker for mobile suits with a shitload of swords, daggers, knives, rapiers, katanas, etc., so it’s always nice to see more swords added. Probably why I liked Exia from the start.

I hope the Landstriker means Klaus will finally be relevant. At the least to blast off grunts and Fatass on earth while Gundams are fighting in space.

No, because it appears in 00V there’s very little chance of it appearing in the anime outside of a small cameo.

True for the Gundam variations, but we’ve seen the Suille Enacts and Sergei’s Tieren.

At least Sergei’s was, because I remember someone saying “it won’t be in the anime because it’s in 00V” about it too. And then we get it in 16 ^^
By: furato on 2009/02/23

No, Sergei’s wasn’t. Sergei’s was in Gundam Express (therefore it was going to be in the show) and had an HG plamo released of it.

Bets are on that episode 23 will focus on Setsuna and Marina, who have the whole flower imagery going on since S1.
Could the manga image be from the newest chapter of Aoi Kioku? It looks like Toru Shiguma’s art work.
And good god, I still can’t get over how weird the Seraphim Gundam looks. o_0 It looks more like some post-modern sculpture than a Gundam. >>

Well, I know Plutone is one of the Gundams. Maybe it’s something in the style of 0 Raiser or Archer. Hm, it’s interesting that of all the Innovators Bring is the one to be featured. Maybe they felt bad for killing him off so early. Even though poor Divine got screwed over even faster, lol. In b4 questioning of Bring’s gender over pronoun use.

Wouldn’t that flower be the yellow one that’s always associated with Setsuna and Marina? How people are thinking that means Setsuna/Feldt is beyond me.
By: kim on 2009/02/23
at 14:04
Probably because Feldt gives him said flower? I dunno. Also rumors are flying of the scene in question being put in just to promote Feldt’s rumored character CD. So, if it is a marketing stunt, who knows what that means for the story.
By: citrinitas668 on 2009/02/23
at 15:05
I’m thinking it’ll play out like their scene next to Dynames in S1, Feldt playing inadvertent match-maker again. If she sings then it’s probably just for marketing her CD, also explains why she’s in the OP. Who knows.

Regnant huh? Well I guess that really was it’s name. Checking my dictionary it shows that it is a word — and one closely related to “regent”. Even so I still say that “Regent” would have been a better name for it, especially seeing how closely related the two words are.

Actually a word. I didn’t think so either, bit it is.
By: galax on 2009/02/23
at 14:48
Uh oh, so he wasn’t supposed to be a Meister either… Ribbons, what is this!!!? You know what, this is one of the things I hope will be presented within the animation. They already revealed that Setsuna wasn’t supposed to be a Meister, and it would be funny if Tieria wasn’t supposed to be one either, and he threw that “you were not in Veda’s data” line to Setsuna. WAT. How long has Ribbons been tampering with Veda?
By: mai on 2009/02/23
at 22:19
My running theory is that he’s been dicking with it since his epiphany in Azadistan. I’m not positive if the implication is quite the same as the Setsuna thing, but that’s what it reminded me of, so I dunno.
By: citrinitas668 on 2009/02/23
at 22:30
Wait… then why did Nena hack Veda again?
By: Anon on 2009/02/23
at 23:29
No, why would you think that? I dunno if Nena is even alive at this point.
By: citrinitas668 on 2009/02/24
at 00:10
I think he was referring to season one when Nena was on the Ptolemaios.
What do you mean you don’t think Nena would be alive? Wang a background character and Nena is currently one or maybe two steps above her — Having Nena get killed by Hong Long/Wang in episode 21 would be ridiculous. It would be two background characters having a fight. Especially since Nena has so many avenues where she could be used as an important plot device — wasting her on a character like Wang is beyond bad writing.
By: Anonymous or something on 2009/02/24
at 13:03
What? I was talking about 5 years prior to S1, Nena might not have been alive yet at the point in question (I don’t think we have a precise timeline for when the Trinities were created, but they’re not as old as their profiles say).
I don’t think Nena was going around doing things this early at all, and it’s not like she has high-level Veda access either.
[EDIT] Goddamnit, I’m sorry, I misread the initial comment…. Anyhow, I suspect Ribbons has had control of Veda for quite a while, but he needed Nena to dick with things on Ptolemy’s side directly or something.
By: citrinitas668 on 2009/02/24
at 15:24
Well it makes sense, the whole 874 doesn’t know why Tieria is a meister sounds like a dead ringer of Tieria not knowing why Setsuna is a meister. Anyway, if it’s not touched anywhere within the animation, then whatever.
Btw, サダルスード is Sadalsuud.

@citrinitas668
1. Don’t believe everything you read in the novels even if they are “official”.
2. Why are you assuming their ages aren’t what their profiles are stating? Is this just fanon from your side or do you have some inside information you haven’t shared with the rest of us?
By: Anonymous or something on 2009/02/24
at 20:02
It’s from the novels, the Trinities were created by Ribbons at some point, all at the same time–their ages can’t be what they say on their profiles because they were created together.
You’re free to ignore the stuff in the novels if you want, but none of it has been contradicted in the anime yet, so I see no reason to doubt it.
By: citrinitas668 on 2009/02/25
at 00:08
Ah so that is it. Well that pretty much settles it, my theory must be correct then. The Trinities were never “created”, they were just changed. Just think about it, if the Innovators are “clones” of those scientists, then using Ribbons DNA to make new clones would make the Trinities real innovators. But if the Trinities aren’t Innovators that must mean they were “created” some other way. I think we have misinterpreted the whole “created” part. What I believe happened more or less is that some scientist or other person working for Alejandro was payed/forced to give up her children to his “trinity project”. Say it happened just after Nena was born or when her mother was pregnant with her. From this age and onwards they were put on the same medicines and treatment that Louise have been getting. Since Michael and Johan weren’t infants the medicine would have had an adverse effect on them and not been as effective, thus their abilities would never have been more than just better reflexes and coordination with their siblings. Nena on the other hand having been given the treatment since before she was born or just after she as born wouldn’t have had this problem and thus would get the other powers she has. As such Michael and Johan were “failures” while their sister were not. This would explain how they all could have been “created” at the same time. The creation meant they started getting the treatment at the same time no?
Something that might support this is Alejandro’s goals themselves. Unlike Wang he was never shown to want immortality or even seek it. He just wanted power. Now why is that? Since he knew about the Tirinities he should have known about their abilities and coveted that for himself.
But if we assume he knew about the ill effects on grownups the medicine would have (see Louise) he wouldn’t have bothered about that avenue before the technique had been better/further developed.

I don’t see any reason to believe that’s the case given the information we have about them. Here’s what the summary of the novels says about that:
リボンズがイノベイターで彼の細胞を基にしてトリニティが造られたとか。
※2302年までリボンズはCBにいたのでトリニティ5歳以下確定
・リボンズは「イノベイター」
・リボンズの細胞を調べ、それを基にトリニティが造られた
Ribbons constructed the Trinities based on Innovator cell-biology and so on.
*Since Ribbons was in CB until 2302, the Trinities [were/are] less than 5 years old.
• Ribbons is an “Innovator”
• [Ribbons] investigated his cell-biology, and based on that, the Trinities were constructed.
Assuming I’m remembering correctly, the “constructed” used here is the same word Ribbons used @ Regene a couple episodes to tell him “I made you.”
By: citrinitas668 on 2009/02/25
at 14:54
Well maybe they aren’t as old as they were made out to be but it still doesn’t prove that they have the same ages. if The trinities were less than 5 years old 2302 it doesn’t have to mean that all of them were exactly less than 5 years old. Say Nena was 0 (infant or in the belly of their mother) Michael 1-1.5 years old. Johan 5-7 years old. (depending on how you look at it.)
I don’t think there is an exact science to their exact ages — as with height and weight often explained in Anime and not realistic we could assume that making mistakes with ages (especially when making transitions between novels and Anime) can be expected.
So if they were that young — the use of the Innovator gene might have speed up them growing up. It would be more of an explanation as to why Johan has some calm and seem more mature while his younger siblings seem so childish. As would be explained by them really being kids that had their metabolism sped up.
But I believe there must be some sort of mistake on the part of the novel, or the authors writing it screwed up some way when given free hands… Michael and Nena’s views seem pretty deep, more so than the other Meisters. Could children that must have spent every day training for five years of their entire lives really have been able to form such persona opinions of their own much with such deep afterthought and insight?
