Boring Official File is boring, abbreviated summary from the usual place because I’m lazy and it’s not that interesting:
There wasn’t a lot of new information. The only new (or should I say clarified) information:
- Bring and Devine are of the same genetic type.
- Veda has been moved somewhere from the dark side of the moon.
- Anew’s consciousness was sealed off at the beginning, she was unaware that she was a spy.
- Ribbons and the others give Louise special treatment because they want to make her humanity’s first Innovator.
- Sergei, Hercules, and Holly were friends when they were in military academy.
There’s an interview with Sumeragi, Ian and Lasse’s voice actors, but I’m lazy and it didn’t look all that interesting.
How dissapointing…

I innitially thought Ribbons said so to manipulate Louise, since he previously told Wang that humans cannot become innovators. Is he contradicting himself, or he did it to troll Wang? I’m lost here.

Ribbons told Wang that SHE couldn’t become an Innovator. He said there was no place for greedy, heartless and empty people like her in his “new world”. Well, maybe he didn’t use those exact words, but the gist of it was that he refused to make her an innovator — not that he was unable too. He was basically telling her she was waste and he would be happy if she just disappeared from his sight.

Someone at /m/ likened Anew’s situation like Marie. So when she was awakened, she still retains her old memories and feelings, which is why Marie still loves Sergei and Anew still loves Lyle.

Hmm… was that actually new information. I think Bring and Diving being the same genetic type is nothing odd. Anew being unaware of her status as a spy was farily obvious, in my opinion. Louise’s special treatment was also made obvious in ep. 20, and we already were told about Segei, Hercules and Holy.
The only new piece of information would be that Veda has been moved.

I’m starting to think that they’re trying to emphasize that Bring and Devine are the most similar among the twins, that’s why they keep stating the obvious :P But of what consequence does that bring?

Hm, I think it’s just that this is the first Official File they’ve been in, so they mention it and the blogger’s just like WELL IF YOU DIDN”T ALREADY KNOW IT FOR SURE THEY SAID IT AGAIN, or something.
They seem to be emphasizing that everyone BUT Hilling and Ribbons are proper pairs from what’s been coming out lately though.

Maybe Hilling isn’t a direct copy of Ribbons at all but rather a copy version of those ridiculous catgirls we see in the manga? She kinda looks like them both as far as hair and expressions go. Seem to share a similar personality with them as well.
