[EDIT II] And now for something completely different:
[EDIT] More summaries, from “Pia”
Episode 23
Regene finally revealed his rebellious intent to Ribbons who is controlling the Innovators. Meanwhile, as the anti-government force Katharon and the Federation army are pulled into Celestial Being and A-LAWS’ battle the fervor increases. Exhausted in the middle of a battle where no one knows when they’ll fall, all of a sudden a huge ring of light engulfs the battlefield…
Episode 24
In the midst of the continuing battle, Tieria having successfully infiltrated the enemy mothership, discovers a frightening truth there. Meanwhile, Ptolemaios, entrenched in a defensive battle, exposed to the tireless enemy’s attacks, are forced to hold out with inferior numbers. Comrades fall one after another. In order to live up to the light of those lives, Setsuna, and then 00, cries out.
(The others are just really redundant so I didn’t bother)
The following is part of their spoiler copypasta, they usually include the latest/most detailed summaries and then stuff like this as the ‘common reading’ of the spoiler guy stuff (and they must have another source because there’s some other stuff that doesn’t seem to be derived from the stuff in the spoiler archive) — leaving off the last few points because it’s just the same staff whining as before and doesn’t really seem add anything/I’m lazy -____-
Episode 23: “Flower of Life” (TV Station)
Regene reveals his rebellious will to Ribbons.
Meanwhile, Celestial Being and A-LAWS’ battlefield becomes engulfed in a band of light
• A movie (a continuation), and a TV special (a compilation/summary) are being made.
• Setsuna spontaneously becomes the first natural Innovator and defeats Bushido
• [The Gundams] will get upgrades and use them in battle, but their highlight-scenes are weak.
• Louise dies in episode 23 {so it’s flat-out ‘dies’ now?}
• Regene shoots Ribbons, but is killed by Ali.
• Feldt gives Setsuna a flower, a song flows.
• An old 15000 {no unit} huge CB warship will appear.
• In episode 22 Patrick and Kati are collaborating with Katharon.
• Patrick will pilot a GN-X. {still think they might be reading that one wrong}
• Patrick will use himself as a shield to protect [Kati] from something (but he won’t die)
• Lasse will pilot 0 Gundam from Ptolemy 2. {I don’t know, don’t ask me}
• In the worst turn of events, mass produced MS and mass produced Innovators appear, named Gaga
• During Veda’s recapture, Ribbons and Tieria have a chicken race* (but the thing they need is different?) {*from what I could gather from skimming Wikipedia, a “chicken race” is game that’s like a test of courage and if you lose you get called a chicken–sounds basically like a dare, couldn’t think of the word in English, keep wanting to say “a game of chicken” but that’s something different}
• Ali’s machine is stopped by Trial [system?], the person that goes hand-to-hand with him is unknown. {er, that last part is more literally “the person who defeats his physical body is unknown” sounds like someone gets into a 1-on-1 fight with him outside of their suits}
• Marina watches the final battle from space.
• There are no “key characters” aside from Setsuna, it was a failed creative work from the beginning, no one has high hopes for it.
• According to the staff dropping spoilers, the actual scene is lame.

“Failed creative work”? That’s quite unfortunate. I can definitely see that, though. You think it had to do with the sponsor intervention or it was poorly planned from the start?

…just passing through.
I visited /m/ for the first time in like… forever (left it due to the massive amount of rage people seemed to have) … and this is the first time I ran into the ‘the staff hates the show, it’s gonna suck, blaw blaw’ … I’ll admit it’s not the best thing I’ve ever seen in the history of forever… but I’m enjoying it, and it’s better than a lot of other things. So I’m real confused over the crap about ‘failed creative work from the beginning’ and ‘the final battle will suck’

>Ali’s machine is stopped by Trial [system?], the person that goes hand-to-hand with him is unknown.
If they hadn’t killed Nena, it would have been a fitting surprise if it had been her. But now we will get either a Tiera, Setsuna or Lyle fighting him. Since Tieria seems to be involved with Ribbons in a chicken race and Setsuna has become Gundam Jesus, it will most likely be Lyle. Such obvious plots, it becomes boring when they set up the “mean people” to be killed by the “super heroes”. Ali dying should have been done in some sort of ironic way where his own lust for battle became his undoing. Even if Setsuna used Trans-am and all that crap it would have been a more fitting end to Prince Ali if he had been killed in episode 14.
Now they just keep him around not because he is cool, but because they probably think they can make Lyle look cool in the end. Probably by Avenging Anew and his brother and all that crap while dying “Cowboy Bebop” style.
>There are no “key characters” aside from Setsuna, it was a failed creative work from the beginning, no one has high hopes for it.
As I pointed out myself, they killed off the wrong characters and they killed characters at the wrong time for cheap pops. They use the villains and characters with actual potential to make the story interesting to “sell” the characters they want people to like. (See the Meisters and Louise)
Failed creative work indeed.
As for Louise dying in episode 23, that’s just “meh”. I could care less about her character now that she doesn’t have anything driving her. Going with the whole forgiveness theme they can’t let her live since she chose to become the horrible person she is. Whether she lives or not they will no doubt make her story cheesy. I give it at least 5-1 odds that if they kill off Louise there will be characters that will bawww over her. Which in itself kind of ruins the whole “love is the answer”. If Other characters baww over her she will just be portrayed as tragic heroine — something she might or might not be, but is irrelevant to making the point come across. All characters at some point or another can be sympathized with to one degree or another, but when they take try to make you feel more for one character that is just as bad as another character that they did the opposite for — when this character they try to make you sympathize for is arguably a “worse person” — it just gives you a bad taste in your mouth. It is that taste you get when writers try to force you to like a character that really isn’t all that likeable.
Now as for the Movie:
If they DO make a movie I hope they wont go for a continuation. The best thing they could do is have the movie show us how Celestial Being was born. maybe 200 years previous the the series? Or if they don’t want that they could simply do a short 5 years prior to the series and show us How Setsuna met up with Neil and Tieria, how the Trinity siblings for acted when born and what Ali did during those years. They could even throw in some references to that fail manga.

“A movie (a continuation), and a TV special (a compilation/summary) are being made.”
I still think that we are not going to get a movie.
I’m sure that Patrick is going to pilot an Enact(because this mobile suit this season doesn’t have a named pilot(Graham pilots something that looks like Flag. Sergei piloted Tieren Taozi.)).
It’s really someone from CB is pointing a gun at him in 22ep. and for some reason I think that Ali(I still remember that Ali lied to Ribbons about Nena) works for Regene.

Thank god louise is gonna die (hopefully). She has been psycho the entire season and she really haven’t offered much on the table in terms of storyline – we could remove saji and louise and not notice a thing really. Same goes for Bushido although he *may* redeem himself fighting with CB in the end.
Also, louise is controlled by Ribbons so he could get her killed if he really wants, especially we found out she is given drugs to keep her alive. Why Ribbons picking Louise is still a mystery though.
By: shasela on 2009/03/03
at 11:27
I’m starting to think that Louise has some of the series’ crazies into one person. Really, there’s Sarah, Rosamia, Fllay, and Stellar. Perhaps Setsuna and Saji might give her a mercy kill like Kamille did to Rosamia?
Hoping that Saji becomes the hero of the G00 movie, if Setsuna was to die in a heroic sacrifice (which is something I can really see him doing
If that is the staff whining that this scene might suck, guess I can’t anticipate much.

hmm “comrades fall after one another” sounds like season 1’s ending. There’s no mention of what kataron/federation doing either. I guess in a way Setsuna can only do so much with 00 unlike Kira in Seed/Destiny with his unlimited multi-target laser spams. Maybe “comrades” are coutning kataron and perhaps katie’s group as well?

Nor I want Louise nor Tieria dead , I have grown rather weary of the slaughtering of the final episodes already. You build louise and saji together up from season 1 and have her , and make it Saji’s mission to save her in season 2 all his maturing and determination then kill her in 23? I think that might just disgust me enough to stop watching … and IF there is a movie.. (Ive heard it before SEED anyone?) I wont watch it.

Jesus christ, this sounds to me a bit like they’re trying to reduce the degree they’ll get flamed for this series by being like “We thought it was bad anyways don’t blame us for it.”
I had thoughts like this when there was that interview with Taniguchi about Code Gess R2 being not as planned thanks to executive meddling. Trying to shift the blame away from themselves by pinning it on executive meddling.
God sometimes I fucking hate people who make anime.

Exactly what I thought. It sounds like ‘bawww blame sponsors, it’s not that we’re incompetent. we’re just tired and underpaid and overworked and the director’s a dick. we TOTALLY COULD have written a good story where wang liu mei has a good motivation, bushido is a worthy nemesis, the gundams do teamwork, the strategy is worthy of sun tzu’s praise, lyle & anew are awesome spies, hallelujah is relevant to the story and the MS designs are the best thing ever created in gundam history, but thanks to executive meddling, you end up with this pile of shit not worthy to be even shown on TV’.

I think it flopped when they decided to include the following chars in the 2nd season:
louise
saji
grahm
andre
marina
Louise shouldve just lived or died whatever and so shouldve saji. They have no reason to be in this season and their love story crap is too forced and just gotten lame. Grahm/bushido is there for the heck of it it seems – if he got into his senses and starts to help CB in the middle then maybe his presence could be justified. Andre has no use in this season whatsoever. I dont think anyone wouldve noticed if those 4 chars didnt transition into the second season at all.
Also the marina crap is just a waste of time. Singing to stop the war? Even lacus couldnt do that and this 3rd rate singer can do that? Also Wang liu mei’s story/significance was cut short and it wouldve been interesting if she did something crazy instead of the lame reason she had.

By: Shirin Bakhtiar on 2009/03/03
at 17:32
there are development yes but it was really comic relief stuff till later on. But it ended in a way that they couldve pulled the “off” switch at the beginning of season 2 which i think they really shouldve done. Saji has done nothing except whine and louise has done nothing except being a crazy *****. If you take those 2 out of season 2 the 00 raizer could easily be on autopilot and ali couldve gotten more air time in place of louise

To everyone raging in the comments: I think it’s important to keep in mind why this information is being “leaked”. The person releasing the spoilers is an employee or ex-employee who seems to be very bitter at the studio and does not want the show to do well. Giving out spoilers is both a way to garner attention for himself, and to strike a blow at the studio’s reputation. So it’s not surprising that he claims the staff is dissatisfied, but that may reflect more on his own opinions and ulterior motives than the truth.
00 thus far doesn’t seem to be as tampered with, or as ultimately arbitrarily made, as something like R2, so I don’t see the majority of the staff being so disenchanted.
Basically, don’t panic yet.
By: Fang Wenlic on 2009/03/03
at 20:50
If the studio were to say that it is dissatisfied with its product, it would wait until the series end and some time passed, rather that “we don’t like this shit but we are still doing it, lol”.
Yes, the show has its flaws, but what doesn’t?
If these spoilers are true I will cry because:
a. Louise gets miserably killed after all the shit she went through ;_;
b. Regene getting killed, I just like him even if he is a NEET.

I think Code Geass staff have fun doing their show, lol. Except maybe the director. One of the animators even do some Lelouch/Rolo and Schneizel/Kannon BL images in her blog that looks just like official stuff.
Gotta say I think 00 S2 is still more coherent than R2, but R2 was more entertaining because I’m already resigned to the fact that it’s fan-pandering since Pizza Hut. With S2, part of me hopes it’ll end up being a good, if not very solid, story, but part of me doubts the writers.

Anyway, where’s my “useless princess dies” spoiler? Hell Mizushima, kill the shitty characters as well, please.
Anyway, the spoiler guy had already stated his dislike for this season countless times before, this statement doesn’t surprise me, honestly. Anyway, I do not think this season was that bad, well, unless my standards have lowered a lot after Code Geass R2, I seriously don’t think Gundam 00 S2 was terrible.

@SirWence
But that is how it is. Even if there are many people will hate Louise dying there will still be people out there that will rejoice or people that simply don’t care one way or another. Even when they killed Sergei there were a sparse few people that actually thought it a good thing.
Look at my own bawwing over Nena’s death. I really really liked her character. But now she is dead and… well fuck. Watching that scene just make me sick to my stomach, no matter what she had done in the past being killed in a scene like that without getting Her chance of doing what she really wanted to do. Then being killed off for a cheap pop, but even worse unlike a character like Louise her name won’t even be mentioned in the show by anyone in the last episodes… nobody will care at all.
She was a character with more story and more investment than most, but she will be treated like a grunt… no worse. Even that named Chinese grunt that got killed off in this season had the Commander of A-Laws remember his death at that party.
@Arios
I agree, I mean if they really thought what they did was bad that is one thing — but it seems to me it has almost become expected among anime makers to blame everyone but themselves or agree taht their work was shit.
I mean even if you work is shit — if you know it is shit — make it better to begin with! If you don’t think it was shit when you made it, then no matter how many people flame your work you should be able to tell them to go to hell. I would have had more respect for the writers if they actually believed in their crappy writing and told the viewers to fuck off and go make their own anime.
@anon
Actually I think Wang’s motivation was fitting. She was arguably the most selfish and evil character in the show. Her motivation wasn’t the problem in my opinion, the problem is that we saw to little of it. It would have been better if we had seen her insult Nena and Hong more. Something the novels says she did? I haven’t read the novels myself but from what I’ve heard she is supposed to acted horrible towards them. If they had put more of that in the show she would have seemed far more interesting,
Speaking of which now that we know that Wang though her brother was a mentally handicapped (or something) her comment in episode 6 where she remarks tha the has no quantum brainwaves seem even more cruel.
Episode 6: Wang remarks that her brother has no quantum brainwaves and hints at him being and idiot because he didn’t understand this.
Episode 11: Wang tells Nena has a simple way of thinking when she asks what Wangs intentions are. She then says that Nena is a dime a dozen.
Episode 18: Wang asks her brother if he has gotten in contact with Nena yet when he says he hasn’t she remarks that Nena is a useless child/girl simply because she isn’t always at Wangs beck and call.
Wang even insulted Ribbons and got slapped for it. More scenes like this with Wang would have been nice. A Scene where she talked with Nena and it was confirmed that Wang was the sponsor behind Katharon would also have been terrific.
@Xinxian
Sorry, the majority of fans want Prince Ali to survive and get a hobo ending.
@Shirin Bakhtiar
If that was true they totally botched making use of them in S2. Saji shouldn’t have met up with Celestial Being like that, it would have been better if he had been kept a civilians on the ground an allowed us a “normal persons” perspective of events.
@Fang Wenlic
I seriously doubt this. The “leaked information” is probably done intentionally to make people tune in and watch the show.
@DramaQ
So? Louise wasn’t the ONLY one unfortunate. She at least got her empty revenge, other characters with just as tragic stories or more so, didn’t even get that. Louise will have people bawwing over her.
@Nzykmulk
Yes seriously, Marina should have been killed long ago. Her ideals don’t need Marina herself in order to live on. They will live on through the actions of Setsuna and the whole “forgiveness” is the right path storyline. If they wanted Marina to do something that you cared even a smidgen about they could have her murdered by somebody, and her dying words would be something like: “I forgive you” to her killer. But they wont do that — they will just have her sit in a bunker and listen to the radio as Setsuna fights in space and we will hear her singing in the final battles.
