It doesn’t look like there’s going to be much beyond pictures and side stories this month (the tripfag with Gundam Ace says there’s nothing new about the special editions or the movie). Oh wait, the tripfag says there was one small thing–there’ll be a new ED song for each of the three special editions, if you missed it before SE1’s ED theme will be Mille Face’s “i (ai).” There are some bits of info on this month’s 00P chapter in the Tieria thread, but I think I’m gonna wait for kouryakukan’s summary since it’s in little chunks that I’m not following 100% (seems like the main point of interest has something to do with the Trial System and Tieria cutting off 874 from Veda or something, but I was just skimming it so I could be getting things wrong).

To be honest, like I said on Twitter, I’m sort of relieved they confirmed Tieria’s not sexless. People got out of hand trying to say he could “turn into” a female.
Regardless, I feel like the writers aren’t all too sure what they’re talking about anymore. They said Hilling was the only Innovator with “female like features”, but what Revive said about Anew -implied- Anew was the only one with any sort of female emotion. I dunno where I’m going with this since I’m half asleep, but for my sanity I’m just gonna assume Ribbons, Regene, Revive, Bring, Divine and Tieria all have a penis. Anew and Hilling don’t. (Didn’t they say Innovators were genderless and not sexless, anyway? There’s a difference between gender and sex after all)

Yeah, again, I’m just tired of all the bitching and this seems like it’ll start yet another round of it.
As for sexless/genderless from what I understand there is no distinction between the two in Japanese (at least with the terms they’re using for the Innovedo), but I think it leans toward biological sex more than gender (I’m not even sure that the concept of a sex/gender distinction exists in Japanese).
Hm, maybe I’ll ask my Japanese teacher about it on Friday.

And I can not believe they turned back on the neutral thing. That general thinking was prominent for months now, and then swoosh. Anyway, whatever, it’s not like I’ll think less of his character because he’s male, neutral, gay, an animal, robot, something.

Yeah, I was going too fast and misread 性別 as 性中. (I even forgot that line the first time around and managed to fuck it up when I went back to add it in)
It’s really getting silly now with the sex thing, especially how that answer was phrased (assuming that’s pretty close to the text) since it now makes very little sense that Hiling or Revive would be put into A-LAWS as neuters (with the prior setup Anew made sense as a honey trap and it didn’t really matter for Tieria but now I just give up).

You know, actually, the neutral one was the one that made the most sense to me. Or perhaps after all that ruckus, I convinced myself that it was the one that made the most sense. I don’t know anymore. Perhaps they themselves don’t know what they’re talking about. And frankly, whether they’re all neutrals or they all have sex, doesn’t seem to matter to the story, so why even poke around with it? Trolling? :P

Yeah, sounds like trolling to me. I guess they made a big deal about the Innovades genders in the beginning by leaving it “unknown” or blank on all of Tieria’s profiles before. Though after reading the collection of related stuff that 2ch came up with, it’s not an explicit contradiction (though there’s probably more stuff that wasn’t included in that picture that might actually contradict it). While Tieria was never explicitly put in the group of Innovades-with-sex, he was never explicitly singled out as not having one (like, the only time they say something like “only Anew has a sex” it’s “only Anew is *female*”). But again, if Tieria needs a sex because of how closely he worked with other humans, you’d think the same would apply to Hiling and Revive (though I guess they weren’t in such a long-term, close-quarters post as Tieria).
Meh, on one hand I don’t care, but on the other the fact that they’re making such a big deal about it all the time makes me think it might be important later, but I can’t imagine how.

Yeah,but Hilling and Revive never lived among humans,at least they didnt stay in a human society long term,and they were a position of absolute freedom there with their license when they were in A-LAWs.Tiera was a Meister,but the Ptolemy was a close knit group and the possible duration of Anew’s infiltration may have not been certain,so it was better for her to be made female.It seems that she was born that way from the start,if I remember reading one of Revive’s monologue after he was born,it seems his twin was born female.
I remember it was mentioned that Innovade living among humans are usually given a biological sex,Grave being one of them.If we include those ten of thousands of Innovades around the world,then it seems the genderless thing seems to be the exception rather than the rule.
